What job?

Just for those who are wondering...this is a course task!

Illustration from: http://www.nazioneindiana.com/

A person who corrects or changes pieces of text or films before they are printed or shown, or a person who is in charge of a newspaper or magazine.

A person who combines the judicial functions of Minos, Rhadamanthus and Aeacus, but is placable with an obolus; a severely virtuous censor, but so charitable withal that he tolerates the virtues of others and the vices of himself; who flings about him the splintering lightning and sturdy thunders of admonition till he resembles a bunch of firecrackers petulantly uttering his mind at the tail of a dog; then straightway murmurs a mild, melodious lay, soft as the cooing of a donkey intoning its prayer to the evening star. Master of mysteries and lord of law, high-pinnacled upon the throne of thought, his face suffused with the dim splendors of the Transfiguration, his legs intertwisted and his tongue a-cheek, the editor spills his will along the paper and cuts it off in lengths to suit. And at intervals from behind the veil of the temple is heard the voice of the foreman demanding three inches of wit and six lines of religious meditation, or bidding him turn off the wisdom and whack up some pathos.

Ok...so what is the job???

Snow still falling...

well it is all still very snowy and more expected over the next couple of days. Schools are still closed and looks like they will be tomorrow. It is proving difficult to get any work done as it is all so pretty outside...I keep gazing out of the window!

Sharing some pics to get started...

Hello everybody...this is my first post of my first blog....so I shall keep it very short and hopefully visual if I can conquer uploading photos!

I live in the very beautiful and unspoilt Marche region of central Italy.
Here is a link for anyone who wants to know more about the area: Le Marche And maybe come and visit!

This is a photo of my house -
n
ot a great shot but gives you an idea of what it looks like.

We live in the country and are surrounded by farming land. We have 77 olive trees and produce our own organic olive oil.

We also have quite a well stocked vegetable garden in summer...nowt in winter (lazy lot that we are)!

Sunflowers surrounding the garden last summer.

Organic veggies from the garden.

Sunflowers in the background.....so remind me of summer!

Our lemon tree...with lemons!

Frontignano, Sibillini mountains - autumn colours

I love walking in the mountains....you can walk for hours and hours in the Sibillini without seeing a single person, house, trace of civilization...and the colours...wonderful!
